New Stuff & New People

Hello everyone out there!

Yes, I am still hanging around slowly chugging along. I am finally getting to update The Shadows of Sicily with the bits that have been sitting on my computer since last June. Or at least some of them. When I finished Camp NaNoWriMo last June I was in the middle of two chapters. One of them had gotten very long, and I realised I needed to go back and place someone else's perspective in the middle.

It's April - the month, that is

Hey all!

It's April! Well, actually, it's double April - me & the month. Smiling

So, I'm back again for NaPoWriMo aka National Poetry Writing Month - 30 Poems in 30 Days. The one time of year I can be guaranteed to put something up here.

A New Review!

OMG! I got a new review on GURD 2108 over at WebFiction Guide!! And it's by an editor!! And she knows what co-housing is!!

Though, apparently there's some co-housing magazine I should be reading. Guess I'll just have to visit Yarrow more. Smiling

*happy dance*

Thanks Fiona!

I'm In My Den, Writing This Blog

It's been awhile, hey? Bet you thought I forgot about this place. Bet you thought I gave up.

Ha! Not that easy.

Ya, I got drained out, and a bunch of life happened (including a bouncing baby boy last September) so the whole 'squeeze in a moment for me' thing has been a bit short. But right now Hubby and the kids are downstairs playing PS2, so I'm sneaking.

Official Hiatus

Hey all!

So, there's sort of been an unofficial hiatus since, uh, May. I managed to get something up for May and June, but didn't have any luck in July.

Now I am going to officially declare hiatus (though, oddly, today I feel like writing something).

Why? Because any time now - or the end of this month - I am going to have baby #2 and will therefore be kind of busy. Hopefully I'll be able to do stuff sporadically once I get used to things, but that will depend on the new one's temperament, and how #1 reacts once #2 is actually here.

As you may have noticed, I haven't been around much. The writing ennui kicked in full force, and writing gaming summaries seems to be draining away creativity - or just plain draining.

My Olympics - Day 2

Last night was Day Two of our Olympic experience. We had tickets for women's hockey Prelim - Switzerland vs. Slovakia.

Instead of taking the transit all the way across town, which is a 2 hour trip normally, who knows how long with extra Olympic folks, we drove to my grandmother's and parked there, then took the bus. This was extra awesome as we got to have a visit, and also Hubby got to work for a half day (which is good because he just started a new job and doesn't have days off yet).

My Olympics - Day 1

Today was Day One of our Olympic experience, also known as "The Olympics vs. the 4 year old". Today it went well... until the last 30 mins of the bus ride/walk home.

Writer's Ennui & New Computers

It will get up, honestly it will! I was hoping to have this week's The Shadows of Sicily up tonight, and I may still manage it, but we just got a new computer so now I am having to wait while it installs my writing program before I can make any progress.

A Break This Week

Ok, folks, I am taking a break this week. A combination of writer's ennui - where I am bored of writing and bored of everything I write - coupled with trying to arrange birthday parties, yes multiple, for my little monkey & bake the requisite goodies means my energy is low and my time even lower.

I will get a little done on The Shadows of Sicily, enough to change the teaser at least.

Latest update: The Shadows of Sicily | Chapter 18: Decentius Uncovers a Mystery - Part 4

GURD 2108 | Bit 11

Poetry | NaPoWriMo 2014 - Poem 29 - Done?

Teaser for this week:
I decided to take it as a compliment, it would help keep me from beating Antonius where he stood.
