I had to phone work today to find out what hours I'd have (none), and the lady who answered told me one of the owners was going to phone me this afternoon. Apparently they've had some complaints about me. I tutor, you see, and some of the kids don't like me. They always put me with little kids, and I don't really think that's the best but... I don't decide.
Apparently one of the kids also told his parents I said he was dyslexic, they got mad (understandable) and stopped coming. I didn't, though I did use the word. I said he wasn't. Note to self - don't use big words around 5 year olds.
Anyhoo, the owner said no hours for this month and they don't know if they will have me back in January.
So, basically, I'm fired.
Which means this is now officially my livelihood.
I've been thinking about putting in a subscriber's only section, if I can figure out how. If you'd like to help, could you let me know what you would be willing to subscribe for. I'm thinking a dollar (Canadian) a month. That's only 50 cents for you EURO folks.
Any help you can give is appreciated.

Teaser for this week:
I decided to take it as a compliment, it would help keep me from beating Antonius where he stood.

Fired?
Wow, that totally sucks! I'm sorry to hear that. You seem to have a very good attitude about it though.
Hey, just fyi, I apologize for not checking back here more often. I was really enjoying your story but it was so heavy on detail and so unlike my own preferred genre, that I had to keep going back and re-reading. So... I gave up. I'm waiting for it ALL to be posted, then I'll indulge!
Just thought I'd explain my absence. Sorry I missed your holiday story though.
Good luck if you get back into job-hunting.
Laura
Not so
Actually, it ends up that it's not a firing, just a seasonal slowdown. Still, means no work since the end of November.
