The Post-Holiday Sleep of Exhaustion

So, how was your holiday? I'm still recovering from mine.

We had 4 extra people in our house, which only has 3 bedrooms and a den. My sister crashed on the floor in my MonkeyGirl's room, my Folks in the computer room. My sister-in-law crashed on the hide-a-bed in mom-in-law's suite downstairs. A very full house.

We had family stuff, at other people's houses, on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. It was nice to visit folks, and the MonkeyGirl did well, given she's the only kid around when we go to those things.

The day itself went well. MonkeyGirl ripped open the presents with barely enough time for me to note who gave her what. We got some family passes to local places of interest which will be great - once the madness in February is over. And, for the first time in four years, I was sufficiently organized to field a turkey dinner at at time reasonably resembling dinner time - 7pm. With help from Hubby.

So, in all the chaos I didn't get any writing done. Not that I thought I would, but now it's a little intimidating to get back to it. Hopefully there will be something up tomorrow, Friday at the latest, as Hubby is still off so I'm a little freer to write.

The holiday story went up, and I hope some folks got to read it during its three days available to all. It's still around, but you have to be a member to read the story now. Hey, I've got to drag you in somehow! Eye-wink

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, or whichever celebration you participated in.
