when the baby sleeps
and it's only six o'clock
how will the night go?
one whirling baby
brings a smile to my face
dizzy baby dance
bringing thoughts of Fred Astaire
will he move freely
when he learns the world's judgment
dancing for his own pleasure
When the baby hands you something
Even if it's round and brown
And you know he didn't find all
The Easter eggs, that little line
Might not be peanut butter smash
Perhaps you'd better take a sniff
And not just pop it in your mouth.
So, there's sort of been an unofficial hiatus since, uh, May. I managed to get something up for May and June, but didn't have any luck in July.
Now I am going to officially declare hiatus (though, oddly, today I feel like writing something).
Why? Because any time now - or the end of this month - I am going to have baby #2 and will therefore be kind of busy. Hopefully I'll be able to do stuff sporadically once I get used to things, but that will depend on the new one's temperament, and how #1 reacts once #2 is actually here.
Teaser for this week:
I decided to take it as a compliment, it would help keep me from beating Antonius where he stood.
